1. General Conditions: TheBlessingStone.com has a No-Spam Policy: By filling out the entry form, you, the entrant, are opting-in to receive updates on Barbara Wood's work. You can opt-out at any time. Your name and any information you provide will never be shared, lent, or sold to a third party. Sweepstakes entrants agree to abide by the terms of these official rules and by the decisions of TheBlessingStone.com, which are final and binding on all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes.

2. The Promotion: Five (5) total drawings will occur. The first Quest for The Blessing Stone drawing will take place approximately two (2) weeks after the official publication date of The Blessing Stone by Barbara Wood (on or about January 2003). Subsequent drawings will follow at regular intervals until (5) drawings have been completed. Actual drawing dates will be posted at http://www.theblessingstone.com.

3. Eligibility: Open only to legal residents of the USA and Canada, 18 years or older. Employees of, TheBlessingStone.com, St. Martin's Press their affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each, are not eligible. The sweepstakes opens at 12:01 AM PT on January 1, 2003 and ends at 11:59 PM PT on December 31, 2003.

4. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited by law.

5. How to Enter: Entrants must access the website http://www.theblessingstone.com
and provide their name, e-mail address, physical address, and answer a question about The Blessing Stone. Limit one entry per household per drawing. Incomplete entries will not be accepted. Multiple entries will be automatically disqualified. The number of eligible entries received determines the odds of winning. Entries must be received by 11:59 pm (PT) on the day before each drawing. Entry in the contest constitutes acknowledgement of winner's consent allowing the use of his/her name, and/or likeness for publicity purposes, without further compensation (except where prohibited). Entrant may also be given the opportunity to enter (optional) e-mail address(es) of up to five (5) of their friends/relatives who are 18 years of age or older. For each valid e-mail address entrant provides, entrant will receive one (1) additional entry into the drawing (s)he has registered for [up to a maximum of five (5) additional entries]. All entries become the property of TheBlessingStone.com and will not be returned or acknowledged.

6. The Prize: One Blessing Stone Pendant valued at approximately $1,000.00 will be given away per drawing. One prize per individual, family or household per year. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash. No substitutions allowed. Taxes on the prizes are the responsibility of the winner.

7. Winners: The winning entries will be selected in random drawings conducted under the supervision of TheBlessingStone.com, whose decisions are final. Only entries that include the correct answer to the drawing's question are eligible to win. Entries with invalid information forfeit all winnings and another winner will be chosen. Winner will be notified by mail, telephone, or e-mail within seven (7) days of the drawing, and may be required to return to TheBlessingStone.com an affidavit of eligibility, and liability and publicity releases, within 10 days of the issuance of notification. If any prize notification is undeliverable, if winner fails to return these documents within the allotted time, or in the event of non-compliance with any other requirements, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner will be selected at random from the remaining eligible entries in the drawing at issue. No exceptions. Please allow 2 - 4 weeks for delivery of prize.

8. Internet: If for any reason, the Internet-related portion of this offer is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, tampering, fraud, technical failure, or any other cause which corrupts or threatens the administration, security or integrity of the offer, TheBlessingStone.com reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to terminate or suspend the offer or any portion of the offer. Any attempt to damage or undermine the fair and legitimate operation of the offer will result in disqualification from the offer. TheBlessingStone.com is not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical or computer failures of any kind, for inaccurate transcription of entry information, for any human or other error, or for entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled and/or delayed by computer transmissions.

Disclaimer: By entering, entrants assume all liability for any injuries or damages caused or claimed to be caused by his or her participation in the Quest for the Blessing Stone and/or the acceptance and/or use of any prize, and release, TheBlessingStone.com, St. Martin's Press their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotions agencies, officers, directors, and employees (The "Released Parties") from any such liability. The Released Parties assume no responsibility for any injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer relating to or resulting from entering or downloading materials or software in connection with these sweepstakes.
